Owner, Steve Lamer, has over 25 years of experience specifying, implementing, and selling manufacturing solutions in Europe and North America. After receiving B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, with a focus on robotics and automatic controls, Steve worked as part of a team of engineers, pioneering some of the earliest successful vision-guided robotics implementations. Steve was promoted to Applications Engineering Manager, and moved to Germany to establish an applications engineering function in Europe, hiring and training engineers from multiple countries in Western Europe. He then moved back to the U.S. to introduce a state-of-the-art VME controls-based robotics line as Product Marketing Manager. Steve began his sales career and moved to the Upper Midwest region to sell industrial robotics and machine vision equipment. He later sold large-scale automation systems for 10 years; selling solutions across all of the traditional automation chassis to Fortune 500 manufacturers in multiple industry sectors.
